Sun, sand, sea and over 12,000 meters of elevation
TRIBE is back in 2022 with the fourth instalment of its popular ultra running event, Run For Love. This year the 260km multi-day ultra will take participants across the beautiful Croatian National Parks, taking in some of the country’s most beautiful scenery – as well as a few large inclines.

The race takes place from 14-22 May 2022 and will see runners take on the full distance over 6 days, with the longest day covering a mammoth 80km. It starts in Staringrad and ends in Krk, and includes the summits of the two biggest peaks in the Velebit Mountains – the highest taking runners up to 1,751m.
But it’s not all mountain ridgeways – although, with 12,170m of elevation in total, it may feel like it. Runners will also experience the famous Croatian coastline, recovering from the gruelling climbs by swimming – or floating – in the Adriatic sea before camping overnight.
The final day of the ultra starts with a ferry ride across the sea for the last 21km of running across Croatia’s ‘Golden’ island of Krk. Then it’s time to sit back, grab some wine and try some Adriatic seafood. For the 2022 event TRIBE is also opening up the final day half marathon to everyone, not just those running the full event.
The Run For Love race series is held to support TRIBE’s Freedom Foundation, an anti-slavery charity and athletic community that increase awareness of modern slavery and support survivors. The initiative was established in 2013 when TRIBE Co-Founders Tom, Guy and Rob completed a 1,000 mile run from Odessa to Dubrovnik to set up the first home for trafficked children in the UK.
TRIBE’s goal is to raise £500,000 to support the TRIBE Freedom Foundation. To date, it has raised over £1million towards frontline anti-slavery projects and survivor support, as well as helped support 400 survivors, funded two new survivor homes, and developed the TRIBE Hike for Freedom: Survivor Fitness & Wellness programme.
TRIBE Co-founder Tom Stancliffe said: ‘’We’re delighted that Run For Love is returning this year for our fourth race, taking place against the stunning background of Croatia’s coastline… aiming to raise £250,000, we can’t wait to see everyone on the start line this year and continue the journey that began in 2013.’’
The cost of taking part in the full Run For Love event in May 2022 is £1,409 (with a deposit of £309) and there are only 80 spots available in the race, so don’t forget to nab your place.
